American Medical Association Denounces Photoshop

At left, an unretouched image of an Ann Taylor model; at right, the retouched version. What a difference in the retouched photo, she looks abnormal for having such a tiny waist. The organization said in a statement, "Such alterations can contribute to unrealistic expectations of appropriate body image — especially among impressionable children and adolescents."
