Hey Guys! Thanks for checking in. I had the pleasure of doing an awesome wedding this past weekend in Somerset, NJ for a beautiful Bengali bride. It truly is rewarding to get to experience different cultures, traditions and styles of dressing when I do brides of different ethnicities. When I was getting ready to transition from ceremony makeup to reception makeup I recall the mother telling me to make sure that I don't wipe the red coloring in the brides hair (from the ceremony) that her husband put in upon completing their wedding ceremony sooo I made sure not to touch it! I gave the bride a very traditional Indian bride look for the ceremony upon her request I guess living in American and being away from the traditions of people's motherland it feels special when doing things the traditional way during a wedding, and yeah happens to also include tradition makeup.
I gotta tell you. being a makeup artist is more than apply colors on a girl's face, it is about celebration, celebrating life, beauty, special moments and the coming together of friends, family and special people in your life to capture a milestone in life, before I get too mushy i'll finish off by saying it was really fun, and my bride and her family and friends made it a totally worthwhile day. Thanks for following :)

ReplyDeleteHi.. I was wondering what eyeshadow kit you use? I'm looking to buy a kit with alot more colors than just 15 (what Mac offers) but I want good quality as well. Any suggestions?
